Senior Manager, Engineering

Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager or Senior Manager to lead and grow a high-performing engineering team within a product-driven environment. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the development, delivery, and support of scalable, robust, and high-quality software products.

What You Will Do

Lead a team of software engineers, provide mentorship, technical guidance, and career development. Drive the architecture and development of robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions using Python, Java, React, AWS, and RESTful APIs.

Requirements

• 8+ years in software development, with 3+ years in a managerial role
• Strong hands-on experience with Python, Java, and React
• Proficiency in designing and implementing RESTful APIs, GraphQL and microservices architecture
• Experience in end-to-end product development
• Expertise in cloud-native development using AWS services
• Practical knowledge of database design (SQL and NoSQL), caching strategies, and performance optimization
• Strong understanding of front-end and back-end integration
• Exposure to modern development practices such as TDD/BDD, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure as code
• Ability to make architecture trade-offs balancing scalability, performance, security, and time-to-market
• Deep appreciation of product thinking
• Proven track record of leading and managing engineering teams in a product company environment
• Ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve their highest potential
• Strong background in Agile methodologies, sprint planning, and resource management
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure automation
