Digital Transformation Engineer

As a Digital Transformation Engineer, you will provide technical guidance in designing and implementing advanced production and process data solutions for Corning's Optical Connectivity business.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 3–5 years of experience in systems development, network architecture, database development, equipment integration, or software development
• Technical skills - Required: Experience with Industrial IoT (IIoT) technologies (edge computing, cloud computing, analytics) and protocols such as OPC, MQTT
• Programming experience in HTML, C#, or VB.NET
• Client/server development experience in Oracle or SQL Server environments
• Basic understanding of relational databases (Oracle or SQL Server)
• Familiarity with PLC and PAC technologies
• Ability to write basic SQL queries (SELECT/INSERT/UPDATE)
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Proven ability to contribute to technical project teams in both leadership and supporting roles
