Optical Metrology Engineer

Join Corning as an Optical Metrology Engineer to design, build, and maintain instrumentation for precision optical components. Collaborate with multi-disciplined teams, travel 5% domestic and international, and work on-site in the greater Rochester NY area.

Requirements

• B.S. in Engineering required; Optics or Physics preferred
• 2-5 years in designing instrumentation for testing precision optical components systems
• Hands-on metrology laboratory experience required, as is industrial experience in optical metrology
• Must be familiar with optical shop phase measuring interferometers
• Ability to function on a product development team of multi-disciplinary engineers
• Experience and understanding of geometrical optics and optical test methods
