Develop and maintain instrumentation and test methods for ultra-precise optical assemblies, collaborating with multi-disciplined project teams and working on-site at one of two locations in the greater Rochester NY area.
Requirements
- B.S. in Optics or Physics
- 5-15 years of experience in designing instrumentation for testing precision optical components systems
- Hands-on metrology laboratory experience and industrial experience in optical metrology
- Ability to function on a product development team of multi-disciplinary engineers
- Experience and understanding of geometrical optics and optical test methods
- Ability to read and interpret drawings with geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
- Strong presentation and technical writing skills
