This role will oversee the plant's quality management systems, manage the on-site accredited calibration laboratory, and collaborate with other locations to find best practices and cost reduction opportunities.
Requirements
- BS Degree in engineering or science (Master’s desirable)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, and/or quality.
- Minimum of 2 years working at a location with a quality management system (regulated industry preferred – ISO, TL, etc)
- Data-based decision-making skills with the ability to use data to proactively find solutions
- Understanding statistical and data analysis concepts and their application in manufacturing and ability to use statistical analysis tools such as Minitab, JMP, or other.
- Ability to drive root cause analysis and direct engineering solutions
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with customers, suppliers, and co-workers both within the plant and at other Corning locations
- Fluent in English
