Job Description
Join Corning, a leading innovator in glass, ceramic, and materials science, as a Sr Development Technician. You'll work with a team to develop new or improved optical fiber manufacturing equipment or controls. This role offers a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.
Requirements
- 2 years electrical/mechanical technical degree preferred with 2+ years of work experience in a technical field, or H.S. or GED - 10+ years of work experience in a technical field
- 1 year minimum experience with CAD software (AutoCAD or similar)
- Good process and equipment troubleshooting skills
- Mechanically and electrically inclined (aptitude for both)
- Data analysis skills and familiarity with software (PI, EXCEL, JMP etc)
- Basic understanding of PLCs
- Capable of using Diagnostic testing equipment
