The Project Technician – Mechanical provides hands-on support for the installation, modification, and startup of production equipment across domestic and international manufacturing sites. This role is heavily floor-based and works closely with internal maintenance teams and external contractors to ensure successful equipment installation and commissioning.
Requirements
- Execute mechanical and automated system installation, construction, debugging, troubleshooting, and startup activities with a focus on safety
- Conduct initial equipment setup and debugging prior to operational handoff
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and provide direction for needed repairs or modifications
- Identify opportunities to improve installation efficiency and implement best practices
- Prepare, review, and update installation documentation, including drawings and checklists
- Redesign mechanical components to resolve interferences, improve installation cost, or correct design issues
- Assess existing equipment for compatibility with new installation plans
- Procure and expedite materials required for equipment builds and installations
- Review and update part lists, specifications, and related engineering documentation
