Job Description
CorVel Corporation is hiring a Medical Case Manager II to work from home and on the road, making a meaningful difference in the lives of injured workers and their families. The role involves working collaboratively with patients, medical providers, and other stakeholders to facilitate recovery and provide in-person and telephonic case management. The position requires regular travel and may involve overnight stays.
Requirements
- Provides in-person and telephonic Medical Case Management to individuals
- Utilizes medical and nursing knowledge to discuss treatment plans with physicians
- Evaluates patient's treatment plan for appropriateness, medical necessity, and cost effectiveness
- Conducts home visits and attends medical appointments
- Implements care such as negotiating durable medical equipment and nursing services
