The Chaplain provides spiritual and emotional care for residents, their families, and staff members, modeling the organization's mission, vision, and values. This is a permanent part-time position, 0.8 FTE, working days.
Requirements
- Sound theological/religious studies preparation with an undergraduate degree or equivalent
- Master's degree in Theology preferred
- Basic Supervised Pastoral Education (SPE) and minimum of two additional units of Advanced SPE with Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)
- Willingness to seek Specialist standing with CASC or equivalent professional certification preferred
- Minimum of one year experience in Hospice Palliative Care
- Experience in working as a part of an Interdisciplinary Team
- Experience and working knowledge of Microsoft and other technology base programs (Zoom, Teams)
- Skilled in providing existential, spiritual, & religious patient care across beliefs, cultural perspectives & practices
- Experience in grief and bereavement care
- Experience with Ethics and Ethical decision-making frameworks
