Job Description
The Collection Department Assistant will maintain member accounts, provide excellent service, and follow up on delinquent accounts. This role focuses on protecting credit union assets and member satisfaction through monitoring, collection efforts, and documentation. Responsibilities include updating systems, filing lawsuits, and handling insurance claims.
Requirements
- Provide excellent Member service.
- E-Oscar updates.
- Establish/maintain interdepartmental relationships.
- Perform daily monitoring and collection of negative accounts and loans.
- File Lawsuits and maintain follow updates and assignment.
- Track and report on delinquent loans.
- Follow up on insurance, collateral and GAP.
- Process payments from bankruptcy trustees and collections vendors.
- Maintain accurate records of all required logs/reports.
- Proficient in computer skills: Microsoft Word and Excel.
