Facilities Operations Technician

Role Overview

Join the Facilities Operations & Maintenance Team at Wolfspeed's Durham, NC sites, the world's largest silicon carbide materials factory. This position requires operating and maintaining systems for uninterrupted services and critical utilities to maintain life safety and production.

What You Will Do

Monitor preventive maintenance, operate HVAC equipment, hydronic systems, and other systems. Utilize control systems to monitor equipment, respond to alarms, and troubleshoot operational parameters. Provide support for new equipment installation and startup.

Why It Might Be a Fit

This role requires attendance during adverse weather conditions and shift work (12hr shifts) to provide 24x7 coverage. Must be able to work safely and use personal protective equipment as required by OSHA/job requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Valid US driver's license
• 5 years of related experience in an industrial setting, military experience, or a combination of experience with a technical degree
• Use of computerized building management system/SCADA
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex equipment malfunctions
• Ability to document clearly and work from verbal and written instructions
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment, at heights and confined spaces, around machinery and moving parts
