Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented U.S. 1040 Tax Preparer to assist with preparing federal and state income tax returns. The role requires hands-on experience with tax compliance, the ability to meet deadlines, and the ability to work efficiently during peak tax season. This position is critical to supporting a growing tax practice and delivering high-quality service to clients.
Requirements
- Prepare U.S. federal and state income tax returns (Form 1040) for high-net-worth individuals, business owners, and expatriates
- Complete supporting forms and schedules (e.g., Schedules A, B, C, D, E, 1116, 2555, 8938, FBAR/FinCEN 114, etc.)
- Review tax documentation provided by clients and organize workpapers
- Perform basic tax research and apply appropriate tax treatments
- Maintain data confidentiality and ensure quality control
- Use tax software such as CCH Axcess, UltraTax, ProSystem fx, or similar
