Job Description
Develop and maintain an extensive wine list, source and purchase wines, train and manage a team of sommeliers, conduct wine tastings, and create wine menus. Ensure exceptional wine service, work with the culinary team, and maintain knowledge of current wine trends.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a sommelier
- Extensive knowledge of wine regions, varietals, and vintages
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer service skills and a passion for providing exceptional guest experiences
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency in wine service techniques and proper storage and handling procedures
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
