Senior/Executive Underwriter - MPL/LPL

The Senior/Executive Underwriter (LPL) is responsible for building and maintaining a book of Lawyers Professional Liability business, including both primary and excess. This role involves working with brokers in the assigned territory to solicit business and market the company’s products, through phone calls and in-person interaction/travel.

Requirements

• Experience with Lawyers Professional Liability
• Bachelor’s degree and 6-8+ years of relevant underwriting experience.
• Strong analytical skills; exceptional attention to detail.
• Self-directed, strong organizational skills.
• Solid computer skills including Word, Excel: email & internet-based technology.
• Solid verbal and written communication, as well as math skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and collaboratively.
• Will abide by departmental policies and procedures, including authority levels, to comply with C&F’s risk management controls.
• Demonstrated interest in professional development and leadership.
• Experience mentoring or training others is a plus.
