Job Description
The Lead Machinist's role is to produce standard shapes and components for railing manufacturing by operating and maintaining a variety of machines, including water jet, CNC mill, CNC lathe, press brake, and shear. This position also requires the ability to troubleshoot design issues, support engineering with problem-solving, and assist in developing solutions when design or fabrication challenges occur.
Requirements
- Set up, operate, and maintain fabrication equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders
- Program and adjust CNC equipment
- Utilize Flow software to create cutting files and nesting layouts
- Collaborate with engineering to identify and resolve design discrepancies
- Perform quality inspections
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on machines
