Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer for a 6+ month contract opportunity in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will design, configure, and deploy network security and infrastructure solutions, including switches, firewalls, and routers, with a focus on network segmentation, security, and monitoring.
Requirements
- 5+ years of network engineering experience
- Hands-on experience with authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA), TACACS, and network segmentation
- Strong knowledge of switching and routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and static routing
- Experience with network security and monitoring tools, PCAP analysis, and network taps
- Familiarity with network automation, scripting (Python or other), and intrusion detection systems (IDS), especially in OT environments
