Job Description
Join a dynamic team as a Network Firewall Engineer supporting a leading healthcare system in Richmond, VA. This onsite role offers the opportunity to design and implement robust firewall solutions, enhance network security, and collaborate with seasoned IT professionals.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience managing network security and firewalls, with Palo Alto preferred
- Strong networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)
- Proficiency with troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, traceroute, ping, and knowledge of network protocols
- Security+ certification or equivalent security knowledge, including threat detection and access control
- Experience configuring rules, NAT, and VPNs on firewalls and routers
- Basic scripting skills with Python or Ansible are a plus
- Ability to diagnose and resolve network and security issues swiftly and accurately
- Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
