EHS Specialist

We are looking for an EHS Specialist to join our team in Idaho Falls, ID. As the EHS Specialist, you will be responsible for administering an effective EHS program and reporting on matters concerning accidents. The position requires 2-4+ years of relevant EHS experience and a bachelor's degree or 8+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.

Requirements

• Develops and oversees company training programs for employees in areas such as compliance training, work area inspection, hazardous material handling, emergency response, industrial hygiene, and life safety.
• Teams with management to create, write, and distribute work instructions and JHAs.
• May be the point of contact for emergency personnel and manage workers compensation program administration.
• Oversees licensed hazardous waste disposal and monitors waste handling.
• Thorough knowledge of fundamentals of safety education, accident prevention and safety psychology, and related behavioral based programs.
