Job Description
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will work with multiple teams to provide products to advanced nuclear power plant designs, including Small Modular Reactors and Generation IV nuclear power plants. You will perform a variety of engineering tasks, including supporting the design and engineering departments to develop technical solutions for emerging problems.
Requirements
- Design complex new equipment, machinery and components for various product lines
- Create schematic and assembly drawings using SolidWorks
- Generate manufacturing drawings for parts, determine manufacturing processes and specify tolerancing requirements
- Develop engineering solutions and proposal documentation for RFQs and RFIs
- Perform basic stress analysis
- Communicate with customers on project and design related challenges
- Coordinate with production team, quality, and project management
