Chief Engineer

Role Overview

The Chief Engineer is responsible for overseeing maintenance and construction activities for a group of buildings. This includes work-scheduling, establishing work standards, conducting site evaluations, and budget control.

What You Will Do

Operate advanced building systems, oversee maintenance and construction activities, and ensure timely preventive maintenance of all building systems.

Requirements

• Three to five years of supervisory experience
• Construction management/supervision experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent educational certification
• A minimum of 10 years of experience as a Building Engineer or equivalent experience
• Commonwealth of Massachusetts Trades License
• Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, customer, tenants and vendors
• Proficient computer skills
• Familiarity with OSHA, NEC, NFC and Life Safety codes
• Strong experience in reading and understanding blue prints
