Job Description
We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Finance Department. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, strong bookkeeping and accounting experience, and knowledge of Fund Accounting. The role involves managing accounts payable, leading procurement efforts, and performing month-end reconciliations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred
- Strong Bookkeeping and Accounting experience in the nonprofit sector
- Experience with Accounting Information System; Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT, is a plus
- Knowledge of Fund Accounting preferred
- Familiarity with government funding agencies and private founders
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in the use of Excel
