The New York City Housing Development Corporation (HDC) is seeking a Staff Accountant to apply accounting principles to process, analyze, and report financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 0-2 years of accounting experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college in a related field such as finance, accounting, or economics
- 0-2 years minimum of accounting experience, including knowledge of general/basic accounting principles
- Superior organization, analytic, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Excel (cut/copy/paste/deleting/add columns/sumifs/pivot table etc.)
- Basic skills in Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Familiarity with Oracle is a plus
- Familiarity with investment instruments such as U.S. agency securities and money market are a plus
