Latin Teacher

Deerfield Academy seeks a Latin Teacher with a start date in July 2026 to teach four sections of Latin, lead co-curricular activities, and engage in residential community activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
• Experience teaching proficiency-oriented Latin classes
• Highly fluent in Latin
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Canvas Learning Management System, and other basic classroom technologies
• Interest in and demonstrated skill working with adolescents
• Demonstrated multicultural competency and commitment to inclusivity
• Excitement for continued professional growth
• Enthusiasm for developing and aligning shared approaches to student learning
• The ability to work with colleagues as part of a team
• A sense of humor
