Latin Teacher

Rye Country Day School is seeking a full-time Upper School Latin Teacher to teach four sections of Latin and collaborate with colleagues to develop a dynamic curriculum.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Classics required
• 3-5 years of experience teaching in an Upper School setting (experience teaching at the Middle School level and/or experience teaching Ancient Greek preferred)
• A well-developed sensitivity, knowledge, and understanding of the diverse backgrounds of community members; a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
• Excitement for working with students
• Excellent oral, written, and organizational skills
• Ability to support the extra-curricular life of the school
• Genuine excitement for and ability to work with students, employees, and families
