The Dallas Zoo, established in 1888, is the largest zoological experience in Texas and an accredited member of the Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA) for 35 years. Home to over 2,000 animals representing more than 400 species, the Zoo focuses on engaging people with wildlife through memorable connections and conservation messaging, aiming to inspire visitors to take action for wildlife both locally and globally. With a team of over 350 employees and 750 volunteers, the Dallas Zoo provides exceptional care, educational experiences, and supports conservation efforts worldwide.
Interns will assist with managing over 1,000 volunteers. They will help in recruitment, screening, and orientation, as well as motivate and recognize volunteers. Interns will gain experience in the daily operations of a large-scale volunteer program.
