The Dallas Zoo, established in 1888, is the largest zoological experience in Texas and an accredited member of the Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA) for 35 years. Home to over 2,000 animals representing more than 400 species, the Zoo focuses on engaging people with wildlife through memorable connections and conservation messaging, aiming to inspire visitors to take action for wildlife both locally and globally. Camp Guide
An Associate’s degree in any field related to interpretation, biology, education, or conservation, and one year of experience in interpretation or education related to science, natural history, outdoor, environmental, or related field is preferred
Camp Operations Internship - Summer 2026
Must be a college student, able to work 20-40 hours/week, and pass a background check and TB test
General Application - Animal Health
Experience in animal care, veterinary, nutrition, or related field is required. Knowledge of animal science and dietary management are essential
Conservation Fundraising Campaign Internship – Summer 2026
Current student or recent graduate with event planning, communication, and teamwork skills
Corporate and Foundation Giving Coordinator
Bachelor's degree or equivalent. 1-3 years of fundraising/grant experience. MS Office suite proficiency & CRM experience are preferred
Park Services Custodial Representative
High school diploma/GED required. Excellent communication skills. Team player & able to operate equipment
On Call Zoologist
Associate's degree + 1 year exp, or Bachelor's degree + 1 year exp. Must be flexible and a team player. Basic knowledge of research & animal care
