Job Description
Dann Marine Towing is seeking a QMED/Cement Bargeman to operate and maintain all mechanical equipment on cement barges. The role involves loading/discharging cargo, managing barge operations, cleaning decks, and ensuring safe operating procedures. Responsibilities include deck equipment preparation, hose/spout connection, and vessel shutdown. The company operates a fleet of tugboats, barges, and dedicated equipment to support charter operations.
Requirements
- Receive & Understand load/discharge plans
- Prepare deck equipment for docking and sailings
- Connect hoses or spouts for load/discharge
- Clean and manage barge decks
- Calculate drafts and monitor ballast
