
Job description
DataOne is seeking a Structured Cabling Technician to install, modify, repair, and maintain voice, video, and data cabling for inside and outside cable plants. The technician will work to customer installation guidelines and industry standards, maintaining compliance with Quality Assurance standards and ensuring service performance indicators are met or exceeded.
Install, terminate, and test low-voltage cables and fiber-optic cables, perform work in renovations and new construction environments, and update documentation of network cabling configuration upgrades, additions, or revisions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of low-voltage infrastructure and related services, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work from heights, read blueprints, and use hand tools and power tools.
