Job Description
The Resource Center has been providing services to persons with disabilities since 1958. The position of Assistant Residence Manager 1 is responsible for assisting the Residence Manager in the operation of the residence, providing supervision to direct care staff, and implementing individualized programming for each resident.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of educational/training techniques for developmentally disabled adults
- Demonstrated competency in working with individuals with challenging behaviors
- Ability to understand and follow written habilitation plans and track, collect and interpret data
- Ability to organize time well and manage multiple responsibilities effectively
- Reliability, adaptability, flexibility, and willingness to work additional hours
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Front-Line Supervisor NADSP Certification within the first year
- High school diploma or GED plus two years' work experience
- Associates degree or 60 credit hours of college coursework
- Equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to indicate ability to do the job
