Job Description
The Plant Operator I (Wastewater or Drinking Water) operates water and wastewater treatment facilities in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The position is safety sensitive and requires random drug testing.
Requirements
- Operate water and wastewater treatment facilities in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Perform laboratory analysis and physically check equipment to ensure correct operation
- Assist in repairs and maintenance of plant equipment and machinery
- Collect and analyze water and wastewater samples
- Monitor SCADA systems and prepare reports and records
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
