Staff Software Engineer, Agent Orchestration

Decagon is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to own the long-term architecture of their agent platform. The successful candidate will lead large initiatives, drive reliability and testing standards, and mentor senior engineers.

Requirements

• 8+ years of engineering experience with a strong record of technical leadership
• Proficiency in Python or Typescript and comfort with asynchronous programming
• Expertise in distributed systems, concurrency, or large-scale real-time platforms
• Ability to define long-term architecture and lead complex cross-functional projects
• Strong instincts around system correctness, reliability, and debuggability
• Experience mentoring other engineers and raising the technical bar
