Job Description
The Venture Science Doctorate (VSD) program is a 3-year, full-time, primarily remote PhD program that focuses on solving global challenges through science-based venture creation. The program is funded by a philanthropic consortium and offers a monthly stipend, tuition coverage, and majority ownership in the venture upon spin-out.
Requirements
- Master’s degree (or higher) in the natural sciences, engineering, or a closely related technical field
- Ambition, determination, and resilience to develop and co-found a science-based venture
- Strong ability to think creatively from first principles and solve technical challenges
- Relevant prior experience in entrepreneurship, innovation, new technology development, and/or solving large-scale societal challenges
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Ability to commit full-time to the program
