We are seeking an Actuarial Manager, Life & Health, Actuarial Insurance Solutions to join our team in Toronto. The successful candidate will lead exciting actuarial consulting projects, inspire and mentor a talented team, and collaborate with audit teams to deliver high-quality work.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a leading University in the fields Actuarial Science, or Statistics, Mathematics or Data Science with Actuarial exams in progress.
- Professional actuarial designation (e.g., FSA, FCIA, FIA, or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years of actuarial experience in Canadian life and/or health insurance, with at least 1-2 years in a consulting or managerial role.
- Experience supporting insurance audit engagements is an asset.
- Proficient / mastery of life & health actuarial modelling software such as Moody’s AXIS, Moody’s Risk Integrity, Aon Pathwise, and FIS Prophet
- Technology skills such as Python, Databricks, Alteryx, Tableau, Visual Basic, R, would be an asset.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- In-depth understanding of Canadian life & health insurance products, regulatory frameworks (OSFI, AMF), IFRS reporting standards, US Statutory standards, and market practices.
