The Senior Investigator - Gambling leads serious and complex investigations into suspected offences under the Gambling Act 2003 and Crimes Act 1961. This is an operational role that involves travel and after-hours work, including weekends.
Requirements
- Significant investigation experience - leading complex criminal or regulatory investigations, such as Crimes Act dishonesty offending, through to enforcement outcomes.
- Strong operational capability - proven experience planning and executing field operations, including search warrants and other investigative activities.
- Advanced communication skills - PEACE interviewing expertise, strong relationship-building ability, and clear, concise reporting.
- Technical investigation skill - experience using digital forensic tools and analysis to support complex investigations.
- Regulatory judgement - sound understanding of regulatory theory and risk-based enforcement practice.
- Delivery focus - ability to manage competing priorities and drive investigations to timely and appropriate outcomes.
