Job Description
DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank's technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. We have a robust, hands-on engineering culture dedicated to continuous learning, knowledge-sharing, technical skill development and networking. We are an essential part of the Bank's technology platform and develop applications for many important business areas.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development, with a strong focus on Java-based systems
- Deep expertise in Java 17+ and the Spring/Jakarta EE/Quarkus ecosystem, microservices architecture, docker containers, Kubernates
- Good understanding of design patterns, awareness/understanding of SOLID principles
- Knowledge of Data structures/Collections
- Proven experience designing and building scalable backend solutions and RESTful APIs
- Strong experience with relational databases, including advanced SQL, schema design, and performance tuning
- Good understanding microservices architecture and distributed systems
- Hands-on experience developing and deploying applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other major cloud providers
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, pipelines
- Knowledge and experience with Agile values, principles, and methods
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and a strong team player mindset
- Ability to work effectively in a global, multi-cultural environment with teams located in different zones
- Voracious learner
