Staff Algorithm Engineer

Dexcom is a global leader in continuous glucose monitoring (CGM). We are seeking a Staff Algorithm Engineer to join our Therapeutics, Diagnostics, and Insights (TDI) team in Charlottesville, Virginia, or San Diego, California. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing advanced algorithmic treatments, diagnostics, and insights for diabetes, pre-diabetes, and health and longevity. They will analyze clinical trial and health records data, perform modeling and design activities, and help identify and sell innovation opportunities for TDI. The ideal candidate will have a hunger to make the world a better place, proficiency in working with complex data, and experience with common software development and data analysis platforms.

Requirements

• Proficiency in working with complex data from diverse sources, including clinical study data
• Experience translating models into signal processing, control, and/or decision-support algorithms in a biomedical context
• Proficiency with common software development and data analysis platforms (Python, R, Matlab, or other similar environments)
• Strong written and oral communication skills, suitable for diverse audiences ranging from peers to leadership
