Job Description
The RF & Fiber Optic Network Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing two-way radio systems, fiber optic infrastructure, and telecommunications network equipment. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in RF systems, fiber networking, and IP-based communications, along with a commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.
Requirements
- Minimum three years of experience in telecommunications, RF, or fiber environments operations
- Associate degree or technical school equivalent (or equivalent experience)
- Experience with Motorola CPS/RSS and Kenwood, or similar platforms
- Experience with analog and digital radio systems (P25, DMR, NXDN, etc.)
- Strong understanding of RF theory, antenna systems, and RF test equipment
- Basic understanding of IP networking and telecom infrastructure
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
