Job Description
DigitalOcean is seeking a Data Center Engineer II to maintain and grow the physical infrastructure of the DigitalOcean cloud. The role requires onsite work at our data center in Memphis and involves deploying and maintaining Data Center infrastructure, troubleshooting hardware and network issues, and participating in an on-call rotation.
Requirements
- Experience in deploying, maintaining, and working in a data center environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in networking, hardware, and Linux operating systems.
- Proficient in Linux OS, including working with terminal sessions and command-line interfaces.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative mindset and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver’s license and comfort with driving.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (10%–15% travel).
