Manager, Security Defense Engineering

DigitalOcean is looking for a Manager, Security Defense Engineering to lead a team of Security Engineers and Analysts in defending the company's corporate and production environments. The role involves managing a team, scaling security infrastructure, mature detection engineering, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience leading a team of security engineers or analysts
• Deep background in Infrastructure Security, Security Operations, or Security Engineering
• Strong technical credibility and ability to provide meaningful feedback on complex systems
• Experience with security monitoring programs and passion for maturing enterprise defense
• Servant leadership and ability to define clear priorities
• Empathy and communication skills to translate complex security risks into business context
