Senior Data Center Engineer II

Join DigitalOcean's collaborative team as a Senior Data Center Engineer II. Deploy, maintain, and scale data center infrastructure, and work on large-scale deployments and new data center expansions. This remote role requires 6-8+ years of experience in data center infrastructure, strong Linux knowledge, and experience with GPU hardware and high-density compute infrastructure.

Requirements

• Deploying, maintaining, and scaling data center infrastructure
• Racking, stacking, and cabling servers, power distribution units (PDUs), and network switches
• Designing and executing large-scale infrastructure deployments
• Supporting new data center builds and expansions
• Deploying and troubleshooting high-density compute platforms
• Diagnosing and repairing hardware issues
• Debugging hardware, network, and Linux OS related issues
• Submitting RMAs and managing hardware lifecycle replacements
• Managing shipping, receiving, and inventory tracking of data center hardware and components
• Maintaining deployment documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures
• Partnering with internal engineering teams
• Supporting operational readiness for new data center deployments
• Participating in an on-call rotation
• Mentoring junior engineers
