Structural Designer

We are seeking a Structural Designer to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will assist in the conceptual, preliminary and detailed design of building components, equipment support structures, marine structures, and other non-building structural systems under the guidance of professional engineers. The candidate will also have the opportunity to work on new and exciting projects and provide clients with fully integrated and superior customer experience.

Requirements

• A degree in civil engineering with technical electives in structural engineering topics
• Prior consulting experience considered an asset
• Knowledge of relevant structural engineering codes and standards
• Understanding structural analysis and design software such as STAAD, RISA 3D or PCA software, as well as proficiency in current AutoCAD, and building systems software is desirable
• 0-5 years of relevant experience in structural engineering, with a focus on facilities or building projects
• Direct experience in the design and analysis of steel and concrete structures will be considered an asset
