Job Description
Direct Counsel is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bankruptcy Legal Assistant to join a respected national law firm in Los Angeles. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with a strong background in bankruptcy law who thrives in a dynamic, high-volume legal environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience supporting bankruptcy attorneys in a law firm setting.
- High School Diploma required; higher education or vocational training preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of bankruptcy law terminology, procedures, and filings.
- Experience with U.S. Bankruptcy Court ECF and electronic filing processes.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and case management software (e.g., PACER, Westlaw, LexisNexis, Relativity, or Concordance).
- Typing speed of 75+ WPM with excellent accuracy.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
