Maintenance Worker, FT

Dixon Hall is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will perform maintenance and repairs in various areas, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance.

Requirements

• Perform maintenance and repairs in the areas of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance.
• Maintain cooperative working relationships with staff and interact positively with tenant populations.
• Maintain inventory and take care of tools and equipment.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle throughout employment.
• Must be able to lift 25 kilograms.
• Knowledge of group processes and dynamics.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and teamwork skills; ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with Housing co-workers and interact positively with the tenant population.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated organizational, time management, and administration skills.
• Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, and database software applications.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, in languages other than English, an asset.
