DOF Canada is seeking a Chief Engineer to work on Canadian Flagged Offshore Supply Vessels. The position involves responsible for the efficient, safe running and maintenance of the mechanical, electrical, and ancillary equipment on board the vessel.
Requirements
- Post-Secondary Education in Marine Engineering
- First Class Motor-ship Certificate
- STCW MED, BS, SC, AFF
- Marine First Aid
- Valid Canadian Seafarers Medical
- Valid Canadian Passport
- Working knowledge with Diesel Electric Engines
- High-level knowledge of ISM, ISPS, Transport Canada, MARPOL and all applicable legislative requirements for operating vessels in Canada
- DP Maintenance Training
- Demonstrable experience in management role or lead position within offshore industry
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Excellent communicator, both verbal and written
- Good organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Experience on Offshore Support Vessels, including diesel electric and hybrid propulsion systems
- Experience aboard large AHTS
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- High-level knowledge of ISM, Transport Canada, and all applicable legislative requirements for operating vessels in Canada
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Excellent communicator, both verbal and written
- Good organizational skills and ability to multitask
