Job Description
The Senior Cloud Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, reliability, and continuous improvement of Dorman’s cloud infrastructure platforms, with a primary focus on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and secondary support for Microsoft Azure.
Requirements
- Strong AWS depth with working Azure knowledge
- Demonstrated experience delivering and operating production cloud platforms in enterprise environments
- Expertise with IaC (Terraform, ARM/Bicep, CloudFormation) and automation pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
- Working knowledge of virtual networking, hybrid connectivity (VPN/ExpressRoute/Direct Connect), DNS, private endpoints, and identity (Entra ID/Azure AD, AWS IAM)
- Knowledge of data/AI platforms such as Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and compute-intensive ML workloads desired
- Observability and incident response fundamentals (DataDog, CloudWatch/Azure Monitor, logging/tracing)
- Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks and enterprise controls
- Excellent communication; ability to translate technical decisions into business value
