The Mechanical Engineer II will develop innovative mechanical designs and solutions from concept through production, aligned with project and internal requirements. The role involves producing 3D CAD models and engineering drawings using PTC Creo, creating and managing part numbers and engineering BoMs using Windchill, and deploying state-of-the-art mechanical engineering development practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Mechanical engineering R&D roles within an industrial environment
- Ability to read engineering drawings, knowledge of machine shop practices, mechanical fits and tolerances
- Ability to do complex electrical wiring based on engineering drawings and schematics and use test and calibration equipment to troubleshoot systems
- Experience in CAD design (Creo/Windchill preferred), FEA and thermal/pneumatics/electro-mechanical testing is required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to define a path to solve complex problems, share that vision, and support the team for execution
