Job Description
The Labor & Delivery/MSP Lifespan RN - Nights provides holistic, individualized care to patients in the unit. This role requires independent assessment, care planning, and management of patient care, adhering to nursing standards of practice and hospital policies. The RN will collaborate with physicians and other personnel in an environment focused on improving patient quality and promoting teamwork.
Requirements
- Systematically and continuously assesses the health and status of the patient.
- In collaboration with the patient/family, develops and implements patient care plans.
- Educates patients and families on their conditions and treatment options.
- Follows established hospital policies regarding confidentiality, sexual harassment, advance directives and American Disabilities Act.
- Utilizes patient handling equipment and maintaining a safe environment.
- Identifies and reports concerning issues to the appropriate department.
