DPR Construction is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to work with the team to gather business needs and translate them into technical specifications documents for internal development teams and software vendors.
Requirements
- Proactively engage business users to articulate system's needs, identify the scope and objectives of the project, and translate business requirements into technical requirements.
- Verify feasibility and impact of business requests based on existing business rules, existing capabilities of technical systems, and data structures.
- Research feasibility of systems enhancements and/or new systems and the interaction with other systems.
- Analyze data discrepancies and ensure data integrity between ERP and downstream financial systems.
- Partner with finance stakeholders to optimize applications and reporting to reduce manual effort and improving efficiency.
- Identify and communicate technical risks and potential points of failure as early as possible.
- Develop an expert understanding of business financial processes and the cross-module mapping of these to ERP and other applications.
- Create and present technical specifications documents for internal development teams and software vendors.
- Collaborate with software vendors and external consultants on an as-needed basis.
- Conduct technical system testing on a scope-specific basis as required by a project.
- Review new system releases, hotfixes, patches, and updates, and propose ideas for implementation.
- Attend internal team meetings, vendor conferences, and vendor training webinars as required.
- Occasional weekend/after-hours work may be required as part of this position.
