Health & Safety Training Coordinator

Join our team as a dedicated and knowledgeable Health and Safety Training Coordinator to ensure the safety of our employees, maintain compliance with regulations, and foster a strong safety culture. Key responsibilities include coordinating external training, overseeing near misses, and maintaining health and safety policies.

Requirements

• Coordinate external training and site access requirements
• Oversee near misses, incidents, and accident investigations, reporting, and tracking processes
• Maintain up-to-date health and safety policies and procedures
• Create and deliver internal training courses
• Maintain up-to-date training records
• Create and deliver relevant toolbox talks
• Coordinate and participate as a management representative on the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC)
• Perform field inspections and audits
• Strong communication and people skills
• Ability to work full-time - early mornings, days, evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary
• Mine site experience
• Working knowledge of health and safety-related legislation
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean abstract
• Train the Trainer certification considered an asset
• Bilingual – French and English considered an asset
