High School ELA Teacher

High School ELA Teacher sought to provide instruction to high school students. Under the general supervision of the Principal, ELA teachers work collaboratively with other teachers within their department and across other content areas.

Requirements

• Exhibit an understanding of and skills relevant to the subject area(s) taught
• Develop unit and lesson plans that are clear, logical, and sequential aligned to standards and regents exams, when appropriate
• Effectively use various instructional strategies to differentiate learning for all students
• Use results of a variety of assessments to monitor and modify instruction as needed
• Hold each learner individually responsible for learning
• Communicate clear expectations about behavior to students and parents
• Maintain a professional appearance following the school’s dress code policy
• Interact with colleagues and students in an ethical and professional manner
